prescriptionsThese can be obtained by request to the surgery or via your local chemist. Please use the repeat prescription slip or state in writing your needs i.e name of medication, strength and daily dosage, also your name and date of birth.

It would be helpful if you could indicate where you wish to collect the prescription.

For reasons of safety, we cannot take repeat prescriptions over the telephone.

Prescriptions will be ready within 2 working days. For prescriptions sent by post, please allow 5 working days.

Nurse Triage

Telephone calls for medical advice or an emergency appointment before 10 am will be returned by our triage nurse between 9 am and 11 am. Please do not turn up at surgery to be seen as you may have to wait until the end of the morning.

Test Results

Results may be obtained by calling or telephoning between 3 pm and 5 pm only. Please allow 1 week for the results to be available.

Home Visits

If you feel you need a doctor to visit you at home, please make your request by telephone between 8:30 am and 10:30 am if at all possible. The doctor or triage nurse may contact you before visiting to assess the call.

Data Protection

Your medical records are held in the strictest confidence. Information is not passed on without your consent unless it is within the confines of the NHS, by legal framework, or is in the public interest. Certain anonymised patient data may be shared for the purpose of public health and audit, research, teaching and training. This practice is registered under the Data Protection Act. It is a practice and legal requirement that all staff maintain confidentiality of patients' records.
